More “swine flu” scare tactics via BOSTON.COM

July 13, 2009

Frikking Boston.com with their attempt at gluing SWINE FLU to the front page for the fun of scare tactics is at it again with this nonsense. Yeah, it’s sad when anyone dies BUT to blame it on the SWINE FLU is just taking a sad situation and turning it into HEADLINES.

(and they didn’t even have the NERVE to post my comment of course.)

“FIRST MASS CHILD DIES OF SWINE FLU”
sounds scary right? Our children are at risk! Oh what shall we do?

Well reading on you’ll run into:

Laboratory testing confirmed today that a 13-year-old Worcester boy with persistent health problems died from swine flu, the first Massachusetts youth to succumb to the novel virus that has killed more than 200 people in the United States, public health authorities reported this evening.

Died from SWINE FLU eh? What about the persistent health problems that he’s had well before he caught the “swine flu”?

Well, let’s define PERSISTENT which would be “continuing or permanent.”

So someone (never mind who it is) has a PERMANENT PROBLEM WITH BAD HEALTH dies and it so happens to be from the swine flu.

Yeah. And if a person with persistent health problems had gotten a cold and died would it still make HEADLINES?

I doubt it. SWINE FLU (which is only a NAME TAG and has nothing to do with SWINE) just sounds scarier and when you look at what’s going on in MASS (taxes going up through the roof, budget crisis, out of touch representatives) this is ONLY being used as a distraction.

Nothing else.

Shame on you boston.com…who is owned by the BOSTON GLOBE who if you have been following these creeps were all but out of business cause they are completely broke.

Is this what we get to read now that you have been saved from failure?
